Originally from Indianapolis, I currently reside in Atlanta. I work full-time as a clinical pharmacist. However, photography and travel are my true passion.I have been fortunate enough to have traveled all over the world - over 40 countries. My photographic goals are to capture the world we live in. I look for elements of color and design. I enjoy photos which inspire and brings forth an emotional response from the viewer. I love to break the rules as well as follow them. For me, creativity knows no bounds.
I shoot primarily color. I currently use a Nikon D300 camera attached to a Nikon VR 18-200mm lens. I also use a Sigma 10-20mm lens for wide angle shots. Most of the photos on my site were shot with a Nikon N2020, N70, or a D70s. I prefer to travel light. I only use a tripod when needed.
My favorite locations for photography include small villages in India, the Saharan desert in Morocco, the landscapes of Patagonia, and the wildlife of Africa. The Okavango Delta and Namibian desert were especially memorable.
Future locations include Savannah, Georgia, Jordan and Syria, Canadian Rockies, and Tanzania. I would also like to visit Vietman and Cambodia in the near future. The list seems endless.
St.Augustine wrote, "The world is a book, and those who do not travel, read only one page." In order to be a true citizen of the world, one needs to experience it. I experience it through the lens.
Happy shooting,
Mike
